She has qualified the National Eligibility Test conducted by University Grants Commission, India. She has presented many research articles in the field of Indian classical music and has been dance instructor for Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and DPS Society.Her Kathak recitals include famous platforms both nationally as well as internationally namely Bali Spirit Festival, Silk Roads Project, Nanning International Festival, Trufesta International Dance Festival, Culturall Europe, OMI & High Point University USA and esteemed Kathak & Music festivals in India.

Manisha holds the National scholarship both junior and senior from Government of India. She is also titled for merit scholarship from Jaipur Kathak Kendra. She was honoured by OMI International Dance Residency award, USA in 2007, ISFI Gold Award by International Sufi Festival Ajmer in 2012 and Youth Icon Award 2014 in Arts at Jaipur, India. She is also a potential Kathak Artiste for Cirque De Soleil's upcoming productions, Toronto and a graded artiste from Doordarshan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Birju Maharaj started teaching the dance form at the young age of thirteen, at the Sangeet Bharti in New Delhi. He then taught at the Bharatiya Kala Kendra in Delhi, and at the Kathak Kendra (a unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi) where he was Head of Faculty, and Director, retiring in 1998 after which he opened his own dance school, Kalashram, also in Delhi. He composed the music, and sang, for two dance sequences in the Satyajit Ray's Shatranj ke Khilari, and choreographed the song Kaahe Chhed Mohe from the 2002 film version of novella Devdas.

Pandit Birju Maharaj is a legendary Kathak dancer. He belongs an illustrious family of dance masters of the Lucknow gharana. His two uncles Shambu and Lacchu Maharaj, and his father Acchan Maharaj were all well-known Kathak dancers. Apart from Kathak, Pandit Birju Maharaj is also an accomplished vocalist. Birju Maharaj taught at Sangeet Bharati, Bharatiya Kala Kendra and headed the teaching faculty Kathak Kendra in Delhi till his retirement in 1998.
